Seasonal maintenance can help your home neat and clean. It will save you money because you will come to know about the problems before they occur and cost you like a bomb. It is always said “Precaution is better than cure”, so better maintain your home seasonally before they get out of hand. You can list tasks that need to be done on a monthly, half-yearly and annually basis. Few things to be done in a particular season. 1. Inspect drains and clean the gutters: Check, check and check! Check the sink, tub to make sure there is no clog accumulated. Clean the drainpipes and gutters. Remove the leaves from your gutters and make it a cheaper deal. Use some frozen vinegar through the pipes to clean the drain pipes.
2. Use unused bathrooms: This maintenance tip is for those guest rooms where bathrooms are not used regularly. Run water and flush toilets in unused bathrooms regularly.
3. Clean all the taps, faucet aerators, and showerheads: Cleaning them regularly will remove mineral deposits, rust formation and makes them new. Water softener also should be checked and replenish the required stuff if needed.
4. Did you check the roof surface? : There could be a possibility of damage or holes in the house. Check it properly and see if any repairs required for your roof or any paint is chipping.
5. It’s time to take a walk around: Walk around your home and see if any damage or any exterior part to be repaired or not! Conduct a walking inspection, and check the cracks, holes, damage near the doors, loose cement, or something which can lead to major damage in the future.
6. Check your chimney and heating system: Make a schedule and clean sweep the heating and chimney system. Replace the old filters with the new ones. Check the gas pipeline. If everything is in good working then it will decrease the house fires.
